My name is Tim Hearn, from Woking Hypnosis. My job is to help as many people as I can to learn to manage and overcome their unwanted feelings of anxiety, frustration or low mood, and live a happier life.
There really isn’t such a thing as ‘anxiety’ – but there certainly are anxious thoughts and anxious feelings. I know this for a fact, because I have suffered these for much of my life. It has been my quest to overcome these disabling feelings, through a journey of self-help and personal development. I began to study hypnosis in 2010. Since that time I have made huge progress and it is now my job to help others to do the same.

Anxiety covers a broad spectrum, and this can include, generalized anxiety, social phobia, fear of public speaking, health worries, fear of the dentist, specific phobias (such as spiders, enclosed spaces, even crumbs).
Hypnosis provides a very powerful and flexible way of creating positive changes in many aspects of life. It has been demonstrated to be effective in removing emotional and mental obstacles that can keep us feeling stuck, stressed and feeling low.
Hypnosis is also effective with unwanted habits such as nail biting, thumb sucking, over eating and smoking.
Evidence based approach
I use hypnosis for anxiety and a number of other approaches, including a state of the art version of CBT called TEAM-CBT.
Many of the techniques that I use are evidence based, and you can be confident that other people have been successfully treated (not just by me, but by many others) using these approaches
It is often not possible to change the circumstances of the things that challenge us. More often than not, it is the way that we manage our response to life’s challenges that determine the way that we feel. The foundation for creating positive change begins in the way that we manage our minds and our thinking.
